Greetings in the Name of Jesus Christ!
I work with the Christian mission, ‘New Life’ and this year
I and a few other New Life staff members are going to be focusing on helping
students or volunteers like you throughout Russia who want to start ministries
or who want to continue to help your local ministry grow to help to reach
students at your вузы.
The purpose of these blogs is to encourage you, to equip you, to share with you ideas
for ministry as well as to keep you informed about events like the Winter Bible
Conference and any retreats which may be in your region. We want to send out helpful ideas and
encouragement through regular e-mails.
They will be on various topics, so if one doesn’t relate to you, then
perhaps the next one will.
First of all, I want to encourage you to continue to pray
for God’s wisdom and provision for what He wants to do through you this coming
year. God is at work and He wants you to
join Him in what He is ready to do at your campus! Matthew 9:36-38 tells us that Jesus was
greatly concerned about those people who were far from Him, who still had no
saving relationship with Him. He tells
the disciples that the harvest of souls is ready and waiting. The problem is not that people aren’t ready to
come into His Kingdom, the problem is that there aren’t enough workers to bring
in the harvest that is ready!
I believe that God has prepared a harvest on your
campus! He is looking for students who
want to join with Him in His work there.
As you pray, ask God to give you more laborers to join you. Pray for yourself and for your group that the
Lord would prepare you for what He has planned to do through you on your campus. Pray that He would direct you to talk to
those who are ready to enter into His kingdom.
Please send us your ideas for ministry and tell us stories
of what God is doing at your university so that we can share those ideas and
encourage others of how God is at work in Russia. Please send prayer requests! We promise to pray for you and watch with you
to see what the Lord wants to do at your university.
